Business Development Manager (PS)

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Business Development Operations

  • Review the prevalent trends, dynamics, and market movements to formulate business strategies
  • Engage in targeted conversations that steer customers to solutions that address their needs
  • Drive customer attraction and retention strategies to improve on customer loyalty
  • Manage teams in the workplace

Drive Sales and Marketing Operations

  • Develop sales proposals/tender documents
  • Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Research potential customer information to facilitate sales of logistics products and services
  • Identify sales solutions based on information gathered through research and/or feedback
  • Understand effectiveness of organization service prices and cost structures

Drive Business Admin Operations

  • Optimize use of allocated resources within business activities
  • Develop intervention strategies to mitigate gaps in delivery of logistics services
  • Develop risk mitigation plans

Drive Programme Management Activities

  • Review different aspects of project management based on priorities and needs
  • Develop integrated project plans that include scope and resources required
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate implementation components
  • Estimate resources required for project activities accurately
  • Manage stakeholders to monitor completion of requirements and activities

Drive Customer Service Operations

  • Develop co-created solutions with customers to enhance offerings and competitiveness
  • Review customer needs to enhance offerings and competitiveness
  • Monitor lapses in delivery of logistics services to customers
  • Develop intervention strategies to mitigate gaps in delivery of logistics services

Drive Logistics Solutioning Services

  • Develop solutions to address gaps and weaknesses in supply chain operations
  • Oversee/ Lead development plans to implement innovative logistics solutions

Drive Technology Application and Integration Activities

  • Facilitate the successful completion of technology projects
  • Facilitate the development of technology solutions and automation to improve processes
  • Facilitate the integration of technology solutions and automations to replace inefficient processes

Skills and Requirements:

  • At least Degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Sales & Marketing with at least 5 years of working experience
  • Well versed in developing integrated business solutions for customers. Have a good knowledge of Integrated Logistics Management and business solutions.
  • Possess good business acumen and track records.
  • Knowledge in participating thru Gebiz would be an added advantage.
  • Working experiences either in Government agencies contract management department or commercial companies’ business development department responding to the Government of Singapore would be an added advantage.
  • Result-oriented, focus, process driven, people management, organization and planning, customer orientated with good interpersonal skills are the key success factors in this position
  • Good sales track record
  • Result Oriented.
  • Self Motivated and can work independently and a team player.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
