Fuel Technician


Key Responsibilities:

­-Operational Demands

Fuel Farm Operations

  • Perform daily inspection and functional checks of fuel facility
  • Perform daily fuel quality checks on storage tanks, standby tanks and low points of hydrant line before commencement of operation
  • Perform loading and unloading of fuel
  • Perform circulation and draw fuel samples for scheduled testing
  • Perform fuel accounting and records
  • Highlight concerns pertaining to quality of work and safety aspects
  • Update of servicing and maintenance records

Refuelling Operation

  • Perform daily inspection and functional checks of refueller
  • Perform daily quality checks on refuellers before commencement of work
  • Drive refueller to depot for top fuel up
  • Perform aircraft refuelling and defueling
  • Top up refueller at the end of each day for standby
  • Drive refueller to MT line for diesel top up
  • Perform acceptance check after maintenance and repair

Fuel Bridging Operations

  • Perform daily inspection and functional checks of vehicle
  • Operate Fuel Bridger for fuel transportation operations
  • Perform fuel uploading and uploading operations for Bridgers
  • Perform fuel acceptance tests

Aviation Specialise Vehicle Operation

  • Perform daily inspection and functional checks of vehicle
  • Operate a myriad of aviation support equipment
  • Drive vehicle for MT line for diesel top-up
  • Sent vehicle for PM and CM
  • Perform acceptance check after maintenance and repairs

Quality and Safety

  • Perform fuel quality checks in accordance to work instructions and the relevant authority requirements
  • Ensure standards on Company’s quality, environmental, occupational, health and safety are adhered to
  • Attend safety and ops meeting, tool box meeting
  • Execute the ground operations safety
  • Submit quality and safety related reports

-Manpower and Training

  • Maintain competency and qualification levels (such as qualifications, airfield permit, etc)
  • Attend required training according to DLP and maintain qualification (e.g. fighting fire, oil spill, first aid, defensive driving, handling of hazardous material etc)

Maintenance

  • Perform the operator maintenance on facilities and vehicles and to raise defects promptly for rectification

Skills and Requirements

  • ITE or below
  • At least 1 year of experience
  • Require Class 3 / 4 / 5 driving license
