PERSONAL DATA POLICY

  1. ST Logistics Pte Ltd is the parent company of ST Healthcare Pte Ltd and ST-Airport Services (collectively, “STL”).
  2. This Personal Data Policy (“Policy”) describes the types of Personal Data we may collect from you, how we may use that information, and with whom we may share it. Our Policy also describes the measures we take to protect the security of the information you provide to us. The portion of the Policy that applies to your Personal Data (as defined, below) will depend on the nature of your transactions, agreements or interactions with us. Please note that though we make an effort, as per legal requirements, to provide reasonably adequate information concerning our policies as it pertains to Personal Data, this Policy is not an exhaustive list of all the situations or scenarios concerning Personal Data, in which case, you may wish to send your queries to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details listed in paragraph 11.
  3. Personal Data” in this Policy, and in line with the Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”), refers to any data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified: (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access to, including data in our records as may be updated from time to time. The exact type of Personal Data that may apply in your case will vary depending on how you have interacted with us. The types of Personal Data that we may collect about individuals include:
    • Name
    • NRIC number / FIN number / passport number
    • Mobile number
    • Bank Account number
    • Vehicle number
    • Personal email address
    • Residential address
    • Residential telephone number
    • Photographs
    • Video and CCTV footage
  4. COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA
    We generally collect personal data that:
    1. you knowingly and voluntarily provide in the course of or in connection with your employment or job application with us, or via a third party who has been duly authorised by you to disclose your personal data to us (your “authorised representative”, which may include your job placement agent), after (i) you (or your authorised representative) have been notified of the purposes for which the data is collected, and (ii) you (or your authorized representative) have provided written consent to the collection and use of your personal data for those purposes; or
    2. collection, use or disclosure of personal data without consent is permitted or required by the PDPA or other written laws. We shall seek your consent before collecting any additional personal data and before using your personal data for a purpose which has not been notified to you (except where permitted or authorised by law).
  5. If you are job applicants/interns:
    The personal data that we collect from you may be used for one or more of the following purposes (“Purposes”);
    1. conducting interviews;
    2. processing your application (including but not limited to pre-recruitment checks involving your qualifications and facilitating interviews);
    3. obtaining employee references and for background screening (including but not limited to reviewing your details for security purposes);
    4. assessing your suitability for the position applied for;
    5. facilities management (including but not limited to maintaining the security of our premises and recording entries and exists); and/or
    6. evaluating and awarding scholarships
    7. evaluating internships and industrial attachments
    8. conducting due diligence or background checks
  6. If you are employees
    The personal data that we collect from you may be used for one or more of the following purposes (“Purposes”);
    1. onboarding and facilitating your appointment as an employee;
    2. payroll processing;
    3. facilitate enrolment of any employee benefits (e.g. medical or insurance benefits) and other benefits that may be entitled;
    4. facilitating the execution of duties and administrative matters;
    5. organising training and development programs;
    6. registering you for courses;
    7. assessing your performance;
    8. communicating with you as required by STL to comply with its policies and processes, including for business continuity purposes;
    9. tendering projects

If you provide us with any Personal Data relating to a third party (e.g. information on your next-of-kin, dependent, spouse, children, parents, referees etc), by submitting such information to us, you represent and warrant that the collection, use and disclosure of that Personal Data to us, as well as the further collection, use, disclosure and/or processing of that Personal Data by us for the purposes set out below, is lawful, and you have obtained the consent of the third party to provide us with their Personal Data.
  8. FAILURE TO PROVIDE PERSONAL DATA
    Your failure to supply certain personal data to us (or if we are not permitted by you to process your personal data), may result in us being unable to process, administer and/or manage your relationship with us. Depending on the extent by which you do not permit us to process your personal data or the extent of personal data which you do not provide to us, it may mean that we will not be able to continue the relationship with you, as we will be unable to administer the relationship.
  9. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
    1. For the purposes stated above and to facilitate the effective conduct of its business operations, STL may disclose Personal Data to third party service providers, whether located in Singapore or overseas, including but not limited STL’s affiliates, who process such data on STL’s behalf in accordance with contractual obligations that ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
    2. We will take steps to ensure that your personal data that is transferred or disclosed to third parties continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA.
    3. Except where permitted by law (and not excluding disclosures to third parties for Purposes), we will not disclose your personal data to any third parties without first obtaining your consent permitting us to do so or unless any such disclosure is permitted under any of the statutory exemptions under the Act.
  10. WITHDRAWING YOUR CONSENT
    1. The consent that you provide for the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data will remain valid until such time it is being withdrawn by you in writing. As a job applicant, you may withdraw consent and request us to stop collecting, using, and/or disclosing your personal data for any or all of the purposes listed above by submitting your request via email or postal mail to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below.
    2. Upon receipt of your written request to withdraw your consent, we may require reasonable time (depending on the complexity of the request and its impact on our relationship with you) for your request to be processed and for us to notify you of the consequences of us acceding to the same, including any legal consequences which may affect your rights and liabilities to us. In general, we shall seek to process and effect your request within ten (10) business days of receiving it.
    3. Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that depending on the nature and extent of your request, we may not be in a position to process your job application (as the case may be). We shall, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of your request (as outlined above). Should you decide to cancel your withdrawal of consent, please inform our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below.
    4. Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use, and disclose personal data where such collection, use, and disclose without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws
  11. ACCESS TO AND CORRECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
    1. If you wish to make:
      • an access request for access to a copy of the personal data which we hold about you or information about the ways in which we use or disclose your personal data, or;
      • a correction request to correct or update any of your personal data which we hold, you may submit your request via email or postal mail to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below.
    2. Please note that a reasonable fee may be charged for an access request. If so, we will inform you of the fee before processing your request.
    3. We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible. In general, our response will be within thirty (30) days. Should we not be able to respond to your access request within thirty (30) days after receiving your access request, we will inform you in writing within thirty (30) days of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request. If we are unable to provide you with any personal data or to make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the PDPA).
    4. Please note that depending on the request that is being made, we will only need to provide you with access to the personal data contained in the documents requested, and not to the entire documents themselves. In those cases, it may be appropriate for us to simply provide you with confirmation of the personal data that our Company has on record, if the record of your personal data forms a negligible part of the document.
  12. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
    1. We employ a range of technological and physical security arrangements and maintain safeguards to protect against the accidental or unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, deletion and other similar risks to Personal Data. However, we cannot completely guarantee the security of any Personal Data we may have collected from or about you, e.g. that no harmful code will enter our website (for example viruses, bugs, trojan horses, spyware or adware).
    2. While we strive to protect your Personal Data, we cannot ensure the security of the information you transmit to us via the Internet, and we urge you to take every precaution to protect your Personal Data when you are on the Internet, e.g. using a secure browser. Similarly, should you wish to disable the cookies associated with our websites or applications, you may do so by changing the settings on your browser. However, you may not be able to enter certain part(s) of our website or applications. Our website or applications may contain links to other websites or applications operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or applications operated by third parties that are linked to our website or applications. We encourage you to learn about the privacy policies of such third-party websites or applications
  13. ACCURACY OF PERSONAL DATA
    We generally rely on personal data provided by you (or your authorized representative). In order to ensure that your personal data is current, complete, and accurate, please update us if there are changes to your personal data by informing our Data Protection Officer via email or postal mail at the contact details provided below.
  14. RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA
    1. We may retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws.
    2. We will cease to retain your personal data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purposes for which the personal data were collected, and are no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.
  15. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE OF SINGAPORE
    When it is necessary to transfer your personal data to another country outside Singapore, we will ensure that the standard of data protection in the recipient country is comparable to Singapore’s PDPA. If the standards are not comparable, we will enter into a contractual agreement with the receiving party to provide similar levels of data protection as those in Singapore

By interacting with us, and/or visiting or using the pages available on our Website, you are deemed to have read and understood the Privacy Policy, and agree and consent to STL collecting, using, disclosing, processing and sharing amongst ourselves your Personal Data, and disclosing such Personal Data to our third parties in the manner and for any of the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy.
