Autonomous technologies are transforming logistics operations, boosting efficiency across industries and in the delivery of essential public services.
ST Logistics has partnered with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) to support paramedics with a faster, more seamless way to replenish medical supplies.
The eMedCab is an unmanned smart cabinet equipped with AI, sensors, and a high-definition camera that digitises inventory management and records transactions in real time. Six eMedCabs have already been deployed at various hospitals, with another 19 scheduled to be installed at fire stations by the end of next year. Paramedics simply scan a QR code to access the supplies they need, with products and quantities automatically tracked by the system. This innovation has eliminated thousands of man-hours previously spent on manual stock management and travel to central locations for replenishment.
Fadhlullah Aziz, an Operations Executive at ST Logistics, oversees the day-to-day operations of the eMedCab. He shares how this innovation supports paramedics in performing their critical, life-saving duties for the Singapore community.
As Singapore celebrates 60 years of nationhood, we also celebrate the individuals and innovations driving meaningful change across industries, empowering those who serve on the frontlines and ensuring that communities are better cared for, every day.
