The Straits Times featured a video capturing the final stage of Singapore’s GE2025 process — the secure destruction of ballot papers and election documents, conducted under strict procedures to safeguard the secrecy of the vote.
The process involved the removal of sealed ballot boxes from secure storage, followed by supervised transportation and incineration at Tuas South. This mandated procedure ensures that individual votes remain confidential even after the conclusion of the election.
ST Logistics supported this final phase by palletising the ballot boxes, transporting them securely to the incineration facility and managing their controlled disposal. These operations were carried out with precision and adherence to established protocols, ensuring the integrity of the process.
This effort reflects the critical role of logistics in supporting every stage of the election cycle, reinforcing the integrity and trust in Singapore’s democratic system.
