STL’s Marine Biodiversity Learning Journey

21 Oct 2025

Earlier this month, colleagues from across ST Logistics embarked on a marine-biodiversity learning expedition to the St John’s Island National Marine Laboratory (SJINML), Singapore’s only offshore marine research facility.

The programme provided an in-depth opportunity to explore Singapore’s rich marine ecosystems through guided coastal walks, hands-on laboratory sessions, and direct engagement with ongoing coral-restoration efforts. Participants discovered local marine species, gained an enhanced understanding of conservation challenges, and developed a renewed appreciation of the interconnectedness between sustainability and the natural environment that supports our operations.

This experience served as a powerful reminder of why protecting biodiversity is essential—for today and for the future. At ST Logistics, we recognise that sustainability begins with awareness. Learning initiatives like this reinforce our commitment to making well-informed choices every day, contributing collectively to a greener and more resilient future.
