Loyang Fuel Facility, Singapore
In 2016, ST-Airport Services developed a new fuel facility built on a greenfield site of 5252m2 to support MRO businesses.
The facility was designed by STARS’ in-house engineering team which also oversaw the entire project from conceptualisation to HAZOPS analysis, and from construction to commissioning. The new facility featured prominently on environmental, safety and security considerations and it incorporates the following:
- Containment system which includes a bund wall, inner drainage system with oil separator and inward rainfall
- Fire prevention and protection system with fire wall, fire foam system, smoke detection system, fire alarm system, fire pump house with backup power supply
- Security monitoring system with CCTV, card access, motion detection sensor and 24/7 security patrol
- Maintenance workshop for commissioning, testing, inspections, maintenance of heavy vehicles and aviation fuel system.
The Loyang Fuel Facility (LFF) was officially opened on 9 November 2018.
Seletar Aerospace Park, Singapore
In February 2009, STARS was awarded a contract by the Civil Aviation Authorities of Singapore (CAAS) to develop the new aviation fuel facility.
The new state-of-the-art depot was built from a greenfield site within a span of just about six months and encompasses many features such as environmental, safety and security considerations. The planning considerations also ensured that the relocation of the old fuel did not disrupt operations of the airport.
The new depot was designed by STARS’ in-house engineering team which also oversaw the entire project from conceptualisation to HAZOPS analysis, and from construction to commissioning.
The new fuel depot in Seletar Aerospace Park (SAP) was officially opened on 29 January 2010.
